Dee's hot cross buns
Recipe by our WW member Dee. Follow her on Instagram @skinnyjeans4lifetime. These 5 ingredients take on the traditional Hot Cross Buns are simple to make and full of flavour.
White self-raising flour
1 cup(s), (150g)
99% fat-free, plain or natural yoghurt, unsweetened
½ cup(s), (120g)
3 individual, chopped
1 medium, lightly beaten
- Preheat oven to 180℃.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, yoghurt, dates, cranberries and cinnamon. Mix well to form a dough. Remove a small amount of dough for making the crosses. Divide remaining dough into 8 pieces and shape into buns.
- Place buns onto a baking tray. Roll remaining dough into long thin cords and decorate top of each bun with a cross. Lightly brush buns with egg. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until tops are golden.
