Date and banana porridge
Creamy oat porridge topped with sliced fruit and a drizzle of rich maple syrup is a great way to start your day.
Dry rolled oats
⅓ cup(s), (30g)
⅔ cup(s), (160ml)
1 individual, pitted, chopped
½ medium, sliced
3 individual, thinly sliced
Sugar-free maple flavoured syrup
- Place the oats, milk and date in a small saucepan. Soak for 15 minutes. Heat over medium heat and cook, stirring, for 3–4 minutes or until porridge thickens. Spoon porridge into a serving bowl. Serve topped with banana, strawberries and maple syrup.
TIP: You can use 2 teaspoons of soft brown sugar instead of maple syrup.
