Caramelised banana galettes

Cooks of all skill levels can master these simple pastry treats topped with banana, cinnamon and brown sugar.


Reduced-fat puff pastry

1 sheet(s), just thawed


2 small, thinly sliced diagonally

Brown sugar

2 tbs

Ground cinnamon

½ tsp

Icing sugar

1 tsp

Low-fat vanilla yoghurt

200 g


  1. Preheat oven to 200ºC or 180ºC fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Cut pastry sheet into 4 rectangles. Place pastry rectangles on prepared tray and prick all over with a fork. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until golden.
  3. Arrange banana slices on pastry rectangles, leaving a 1cm border around the edge. Combine the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over banana. Bake galettes for 8–10 minutes or until pastry is golden and banana is caramelised.
  4. Serve galettes dusted with the icing sugar and topped with the yogurt.
