Healthier, happier and confidence restored - WW Ambassador Jackie O has lost an impressive 10 kg, and without having to give up any of the foods she loves or sweating it out at the gym every day to reach her goal.

Jackie’s ‘why’

“I realised I had stopped wanting to leave the house and was avoiding social outings because I just didn’t feel well, motivated or confident anymore. I’d slipped into bad habits. I joined WW because I want to feel healthier, be more active, feel good about myself, and set a good example for my daughter about a healthy lifestyle and approach to eating.”

Rather than turning her lifestyle upside down and depriving herself of certain foods as she has done in the past with restrictive or extreme diets, Jackie explains it’s been an accumulation of small healthy changes over time that has led to her weight loss success with WW. Small things such as adding more green veggies to bulk out her meals, being more mindful about the discretionary food she eats and daily tracking in the WW app, have changed her approach but in a really easy and sustainable way.

“The key difference between this lockdown and the last one is that I’ve had the WW app to keep me accountable! I didn’t realise where I was going wrong until I started tracking what I was eating - it made me much more mindful about my choices. I can still enjoy all my favourite things, whether it’s a burger at the weekend or a glass of wine at night, I just make sure they fit within my daily budget and balance them with healthy options. It’s so easy to follow and stick to!” said Jackie.

Aside from being able to track her food, activity, weight, hydration and sleep, Jackie loves the Barcode Scanner in the WW app, which with a quick scan reveals the Points value of any food. She also uses the WW app for recipe inspiration, which has even helped her curb her reliance on food delivery apps!

“The WW app is full of delicious and easy recipes, from quick midweek meals to fun family ideas that I can cook with my daughter - we’re big fans of banana pancakes these days! WW’s ‘What’s in your fridge?’ app feature comes in very handy when you have no idea what to make with what’s on hand. I can still enjoy takeaways on WW, but I’ve definitely been eating less of them!” said Jackie.

In just a matter of months, Jackie feels like her old self again. "I’m healthier, I have so much more energy and, most importantly, I’ve got my confidence back! If we weren’t still in lockdown, I’d be ready to get out and socialise!” said Jackie.
