You'll be delighted by how much flavour you get from this five-ingredient, no-cook recipe. Hearty smoked trout is the star, enhanced with shredded carrot (for colour and sweetness) and chives (for savoury allium notes). A base of Greek yogurt and light mayonnaise gives the spread tang and creamy richness. It holds up well and can be made a couple of days in advance, the flavours just get better with time. Serve with crunchy crudités, such as watermelon radishes, little gem lettuce or endive and cucumber slices.

Plain fat free Greek yogurt

8 oz, skinless, finely chopped

In a medium bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Serve right away, or cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
