Ingredients

brown sugar

½ tsp

smoked paprika

½ tsp

soy sauce

2 tbs

plain tempeh

90 g, sliced

wholegrain bread

4 slice(s)

wholegrain mustard

1 tsp

iceberg lettuce

¼ individual

tomato(es)

1 medium, thickly sliced

avocado

½ medium

red onion

¼ medium, finely sliced

alfalfa sprouts

2 tbs

mayonnaise

1½ tsp, without egg

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish combine sugar, paprika, soy sauce and mix well. Add tempeh and toss to coat. Stand 20 minutes to marinate.
  2. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook tempeh on each side for 2-3 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. Top two slices of bread with mustard, top with lettuce, tomato, avocado, tempeh, onion and sprouts. Spread bread tops with mayonnaise and sandwich
