Tamari roasted nuts
Tamari and nuts go together perfectly to make a nutty snack with a difference.
Pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
1½ tbs, tamari (Japanese soy sauce)
- Preheat oven to 170°C or 150°C fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Place almonds, cashews, pepitas, sesame seeds and tamari in a bowl and stir until combined. Spread nut mixture in a single layer over prepared tray. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden. Set aside to cool completely (nuts will continue to become crisp as they cool). Serve.
If you buy raw nuts in bulk, store them in an airtight container or sealed plastic bag in the freezer to keep them fresher for longer.
