Porridge with pear and almonds

Creamy oats only take a few minutes to cook but will help to satisfy your hunger for much of the morning.


Ingredients
Rolled oats, dry
1½ cup(s), (150g)
Skim milk
2 cup(s), (500ml)
Brown sugar
1 tbs
Pear(s)
2 medium, (cored, sliced)
Raw almonds
4 piece(s), (chopped)
Instructions

Place the oats in a small saucepan and add 1½ cups (375ml) water and 1½ cups (375ml) of the milk. Cook, stirring over a medium heat for 3–4 minutes or until soft and creamy.

Spoon porridge into 4 bowls and sprinkle with brown sugar. Drizzle with remaining milk and top with pear slices and chopped almonds.
