Berries laced with hazelnut liqueur is the perfect way to pep up this great Aussie dessert

Ingredients

Frozen berries

1 cup(s), (170g), thawed

Icing sugar

2 tsp

Liqueur

20 ml, (hazelnut)

Meringue

40 g, (4x10g mini pavlova nests)

Fromage frais, 99% fat free

250 g, (vanilla)

Instructions

  1. Place berries, sugar and liqueur in a medium bowl, stirring to combine. Set aside for 10 minutes to macerate. Top each pavlova nest with a quarter of the fromage frais, then top with berries and juices. Serve immediately.

Notes

TIP: Pavlova nests are available from the bakery section of major supermarkets. Frangelico is a hazelnut liqueur made in Italy. If unavailable, you can substitute with any other nut-flavoured liqueur, such as Amaretto or Nocello. We used raspberries, mulberries, blackberries and cranberries, but you can use strawberries or whatever combination you like.
