Five-spice beef with slaw

Buying a packet of kaleslaw salad mix saves you a tone of time when preparing dinner because all the chopping is done for you. Simply add your spiced beef steak and some picked ginger to finish off.


Ingredients
Chinese five spice
1½ tsp
Garlic powder or flakes
¾ tbs, (powder)
Olive oil
1 tbs
Beef rump steak, raw
480 g, (Buy 600g), fat trimmed
Coleslaw mix, without dressing
300 g, kaleslaw variety
Seasoning
2 tbs, Sushi seasoning
Pickled ginger
40 g, finely chopped
Instructions

Preheat a chargrill or barbecue on medium-high heat. Combine five-spice powder, garlic and olive oil on a large plate. Add steak and rub mixture all over both sides.

Chargrill steak for 3-4 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Thickly slice steak.

Meanwhile, combine slaw with sushi seasoning and ginger. Season. Serve steak with slaw.
