Ingredients
Extra lean beef mince, raw
500 g
Red onion
1 medium, half finely chopped and half thinly sliced
Egg(s)
1 medium, lightly beaten
Butter lettuce
1 cup(s), shredded, (8 small leaves)
Tomato(es)
1 medium, thinly sliced
Pickled gherkin, drained
2 individual, thinly sliced
Wholemeal bread roll
4 medium, (4 x 50g), split in half
Oil spray
1 x 3 second spray(s)
Instructions

Combine mince, finely chopped onion and egg in a bowl. Shape mixture into four 2 cm-thick patties. Season with salt and pepper.

Lightly spray a large non-stick frying pan or chargrill pan with oil and heat over medium heat. Cook patties for 10 minutes, turning occasionally, or until cooked through.

Layer lettuce, tomato, burger patties, sliced onion and gherkins over roll bases. Cover with roll tops to serve.
