Risotto for dessert? You heard correctly! Creamy, chocolatey and very satisfying. A great treat the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

Arborio rice

½ cup(s), (100g)

Reduced-fat milk

4 cup(s), (1L)

Caster sugar

2 tbs

Cocoa powder

2 tbs, sifted

Cinnamon quill

1 whole

Banana(s)

2 large, sliced

Ground cinnamon

2 g, (pinch)

Instructions

  1. Place rice, milk, sugar, cocoa and cinnamon stick in a 4.5 litre (18-cup) slow cooker. Stir to combine. Cook, covered, on high for 30 minutes.
  2. Whisk rice mixture until combined and cocoa has dissolved. Cook, covered, on high, stirring every 30 minutes, for 2 hours 30 minutes or until rice is tender.
  3. Remove cinnamon stick. Serve risotto topped with banana and sprinkled with ground cinnamon.

Notes

TIP: You can use orange segments or sliced strawberries instead of banana.
