I like the cornmeal flavor, a nice change of pace, but 5 PP for one of these will NOT keep you full like an egg and a little lunchmeat would. Best with fresh berries.
These were just what I was looking for. After reading the reviews I decided to use almond milk in place of buttermilk & added 1/4 cup oatmeal. The batter was just right & not too runny. I baked in muffin tin for 12 min in 350 oven. Just the right amount of sweetness.
This is a nice way to use my blueberries. They have an interesting texture from the corn meal that I like.
