This cake is delicious! Instead of sauerkraut, I used unsweetened applesauce. The cake freezes well too.
I loved this cake!!! I added the cayenne pepper to the recipe... i'm not sure I think I added 1 tsp not sure. it gave it a little extra flavor but not over powering. experiment with 1/2 tsp first.
I made this for Valentines Day. We both loved it, very rich and moist.
