I've been making this kind of recipe for years, but I changed the ingredients up a bit. I used about 1 stalk of celery instead of carrots, 1 can of diced tomatoes instead of tomato sauce, and about 1/2 cup of salsa too. I seasoned with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cajun seasoning, and season all. I also used the no-salt chicken broth powder that you add water to in order to reduce the sodium. There are lots of variations you can put on this recipe.
