Tasty and filling! I just scooped 12 services and did drop scones vs. shaping and cutting. I make a batch each week and put them in the freezer.
I really enjoyed these scones and so did my husband who isn't even participating in weight watchers. I froze the leftovers the day I made them and we just pull a couple out for breakfast and heat them up individually. I will make this again!
I followed the recipe exactly and these were better than I expected, and not dry like many scones I've tried. For my tasted they could have used a little more sugar. I used my hands to work the cut butter into the the flower and will chopped the larger berries next time. It was hard to get this into nice round circle because of the moisture so the scones weren't as even in size. And what's even nicer is my picky 8 yeard daugter liked them. This is a keeper.
Very easy to make, and a nice not-too-sweet treat for breakfast or with coffee or tea. All these ingredients are great to have on hand, so, when you decide to make these, make sure you plan for the other great uses of the buttermilk!
