In Arizona, children who are 10 to 17 years of age and five or more pounds overweight as assessed by the child's physician may join Weight Watchers and attend for free, for as long as they like, as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. A $25 materials fee will be assessed per child upon joining a meeting (Week 1). If a paying adult is not available, the child is welcome to join a Weight Watchers meeting as a New Member. Regardless, membership eligibility requires both a doctor’s note with an individualized weight goal and a parent’s/guardian’s signature on the Health Notice portion of the Registration form. Valid at Traditional and Community Meetings in the state of Arizona and Imperial County, CA.
