Winter-Spiced Pomegranate and Clementine Sangria

red wine25 ¼ fl oz, (750-ml), such as Garnacha
low-calorie cranberry juice cocktail1 cup(s)
pomegranate juice1 cup(s)
orange-flavoured liqueur2 fl oz, (1/4 cup), such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau
clementine(s)2 item(s), halved, thinly sliced into half-rounds
lemon(s)1 medium, thinly sliced
cinnamon stick(s)4 item(s), (3-inch)
star anise1 Tbsp, (about 5)
lemon lime diet soda1 cup(s)
pomegranate seeds½ cup(s)
- Combine wine, cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, Grand Marnier, clementines, lemon, cinnamon sticks and star anise in a pitcher. Chill for several hours to overnight so flavors can meld. When ready to serve, stir in soda; serve over ice and garnish with pomegranate seeds.
