Don't fall into a salad rut: Boost your salad with the addition of a Flatout bread bowl. It works amazingly in this kale-based recipe for one, where you'll essentially feel as though you're eating a burrito. With jalapeño peppers, pepitas, and chili powder, it's a true Mexican masterpiece that takes just 10 minutes to make. Plus, who doesn't love queso in their salad?! Not to mention, all of these ingredients are sheltered by a delicious addition of bread. And while this particular salad is incredible, you can try this method with any of our salad recipes to shake up your favorite!

Ingredients

Flatbread

Kale

2 cup(s), chopped

Queso cotija

1 oz, crumbled

Fat free vinaigrette dressing

2 Tbsp

Chili powder

¼ tsp

Jalapeño pepper

½ medium, sliced crosswise, very thinly

Daikon radish

2 medium, sliced crosswise

Green pumpkin seeds (pepitas)

1 Tbsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Place Flatout flatbread over a mug or empty can resting on a cookie sheet and press and fold into an inverted bowl shape.
  3. Bake at 375°F for two minutes, then remove from the oven and allow to cool. Once cool, the bowl is ready to fill with your salad.
  4. In a separate bowl, add all the salad ingredients together and toss until well combined.
  5. Season with chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fill flatbread bowl with your delicious salad and serve immediately.
