You'll love the savory combination of chicken, pretzels, honey mustard, and whole-grain mustard. Perfect for happy hour or for a kid-friendly family dinner, these pretzel-coated chicken tenders are irresistible dunked in an easy dip. You'll have these chicken tenders and the dip ready in just half an hour. The chicken requires a quick dredge in seasoned flour, egg, and crushed pretzels, then is baked in the oven to crispy perfection. Yes, we call for both honey mustard and whole-grain mustard for a unique, tangy flavor we can't get enough of, but if you only have one kind on hand, that's totally fine too.

Ingredients

Cooking spray

5 spray(s)

All-purpose flour

3 Tbsp

Kosher salt

1 tsp

Black pepper

¼ tsp

Egg

1 large egg(s)

Plain salted hard pretzel

3½ oz, crushed (coarse or fine)

Uncooked boneless skinless chicken breast

1 pound(s), tenderloins

Honey mustard

2 Tbsp

Whole-grain mustard

1 Tbsp

Light mayonnaise

1 Tbsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F. Set wire rack inside rimmed baking sheet and lightly coat rack with nonstick spray.
  2. In wide shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, and black pepper. In another wide shallow bowl, beat egg. In third wide shallow bowl, place crushed pretzels. Dip each chicken tender in flour, shaking off any excess. Next, dip chicken into egg, allowing excess to drip back into bowl. Dip chicken into crushed pretzels, turning until coated and pressing so crumbs adhere. Arrange chicken in single layer on prepared rack. Repeat with remaining ingredients. Spray chicken with nonstick spray. Bake chicken until golden on the outside and cooked through, about 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, in small bowl, whisk both mustards, mayonnaise, and 1 tbsp warm water. Serve chicken with dip.
  4. Serving size: 2½ oz chicken and 2½ tsp dip
