Man, I wish there had been a Fat Kid Dance Party when I was growing up. Though it looks like this one’s mostly made up of adults….
Speaking of kids, when I think about how hard it is to get my almost-11-year-old to move his tuchus, I’m not surprised that a study found that by age 19, most kids are as sedentary as 60-year-olds.
Take a deep dive into the idea that 10,000 steps is somehow a magic number to keep you fit.
You probably won’t understand why I’m sharing this article about a couple who bake competitively. What does this have to do with weight loss, or a healthy lifestyle? Read it all the way to the end, and you’ll get a nice surprise!
I hope you’ve never been fat-shamed (don’t ask me about the time, on a crowded NYC subway, someone gave me guff because my “hair” was taking up too much space). Even if you haven’t, I’ll bet you can learn something from the way model Natalie Hage handled the fat-shamer who sat next to her on a flight.
And here’s an interesting take on fat-shaming’s cousin, thin-praising. In order to prevent the former, we should also stop doing the latter.
And finally, file this one under Just for Fun: Have you ever loved a song so much you have to start dancing when it comes on, no matter where you are?
