As we say goodbye to one year and hello to a new one, I’m going to squeeze in one last collection of interesting, fun, and inspiring reading. Happy New Year!
A visual reminder that BMI is a pretty meaningless number.

I don’t wear plus-size clothing anymore (thanks, Weight Watchers!), but if I did, man, would I be happy with the style options these days.

At first I was amused by this tale of bullying among dietitians—picturing dietitians as schoolyard bullies can’t help but be amusing. But really, I’m horrified.
Here’s some interesting new science: Exercise can change the molecular workings of fat—so even while you’re losing weight, working out can help improve your metabolic health.
