- 425 ml Grape Juice, (3/4 pint) unsweetened red
- 700 ml Red Wine
- 2 tablespoons Muscovado Sugar, dark or light
- 1 teaspoons Root Ginger, fresh (or 1/2 tsp ground ginger)
- 4 individual Cloves, Whole or Ground
- 2 stick(s) Cinnamon Stick
- 1 medium Orange(s), halved
Put wine, water, sugar, ginger, cloves, cinnamon sticks and orange into a very large saucepan. Heat gently until just below boiling point. Do not allow mixture to get too hot.
Pour into a punch bowl or jug and serve hot.
