This delicious salsa is perfect as a snack with bread, pitta or crispbread, or served as an accompaniment to grilled fish, chicken or steak.

Ingredients

Avocado pear

1 medium, peeled, pitted and chopped

Cucumber

¼ portion(s), medium, finely chopped

Onion(s)

1 small, red, finely chopped

Tomato

2 large, finely chopped

Chilli, Green or Red

1 individual, or green, deseeded and finely chopped

Coriander, fresh

2 tablespoons, chopped

Lemon Juice, Fresh

2 teaspoons, or lime juice

Salt

1 pinch

Black pepper

¼ teaspoons

Instructions

  1. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and mix together thoroughly. Cover until ready to serve - the salsa tastes best at room temperature. Also, remember that avocado will go brown if left for long, so prepare the salsa shortly before serving.
