Yes, you can eat pizza on WW! Discover our top picks from the Pizza Express menu if you're on a weight loss journey.

Quite frankly, we’re not interested in any weight loss plan where you can’t eat pizza.

Pizza Express menu

 

For an Italian food fix, you can’t go wrong with PizzaExpress.

Founded just two years after WW, the popular pizzeria offers a mouth-watering menu packed full of WW-friendly dishes. And the best news is, all Classic and Romana pizzas can now be ordered on a Leggera base!*

Leggera means ‘light’. On your plate, that translates to a classic-sized ring of wholemeal, white and spelt dough with a hole in the middle, which accommodates a generous helping of freshly dressed salad. 

Fancy pasta, salad or a classic pizza instead? Nothing’s off the menu at WW. There are plenty of tasty options that sit snugly within your daily SmartPoints® Budget, plus delicious dishes you can spend your weeklies on (a weekly SmartPoints ‘cushion’ to use however you like, for example dining out at the weekend).

PizzaExpress starters & sides 

 

Get straight down to business with some marinated green olives with garlic and pink peppercorns for 5SP while you’re scanning the menu. 

When you’re ready to order starters, here’s what you need to know.

Bring on the carbs!

Enjoy a portion of PizzaExpress’s famous Dough Balls and garlic butter for 15SP. Ordering without the butter brings this dish down to 7SP, or share with a friend.

The gluten-free Dough Balls with garlic butter are 14SP per portion, and the vegan Dough Balls (served with a harissa spiced tomato dip instead of the garlic butter) are 10SP per portion.

If you like the sound of Dough Balls but can't manage a whole plate, the king prawns with spicy ‘nduja sausage are served with half a portion of Dough Balls for 10SP.

Alternatively, the garlic bread with mozzarella and Bruschetta Originale (dough brushed with garlic butter and topped with fresh tomato, red onion, basil and pesto) are 11SP each.

No carbs....yet!

If you don’t fancy something bready to start, the baked garlic mushroom - a Portobello mushroom with garlic, harissa and a vegan mozzarella alternative - is 11SP.

The creamy buffalo mozzarella and fresh tomato salad served with pesto and fresh basil is yours for 13SP. The halloumi bites, served with a tomato dip, are also 13SP.

Happy to hop up to 14SP? Try the lemon & herb chicken wings or the rosemary polenta chips with Gran Milano cheese and honey & mustard dip. 

 

PizzaExpress mains: Leggera range

 

Slice, slice baby… We love the PizzaExpress Leggera range, where most pizzas span between 12SP and 16SP. 

  • For 12SP you can order: Margherita
  • For 13SP you can order: La Reine
  • For 14SP you can order: Sloppy Giuseppe, Pollo Forza
  • For 15SP you can order: American Hot, Pollo Ad Astra, Veneziana, Margherita (vegan option)
  • For 16SP you can order: American, Diavolo

If you have a few extra SmartPoints to spare, the Vegan Giardiniera is 17SP, or for 19SP you can order the Padana (the vegan option has the same SP values) or the Veneziana (vegan option).  

If you fancy pasta or a salad from the Leggera range instead, the Leggera Peperonata (penne pasta with garlic, herbs, passata and roasted mixed peppers) is 18SP and the Leggera superfood salad (salad and veggies with a mix of grains, pulses, seeds, cranberries and kale) is 7SP with dressing but no dough sticks.

Classic

Classic pizzas clock in at around double the SmartPoints value of Leggera pizzas. 

  • For 26SP you can order: Margherita, Fiorentina
  • For 27SP you can order: La Reine, Vegan Giardiniera
  • For 28SP you can order: Sloppy Giuseppe

If you’re happy to spend a few extra SmartPoints, the Veneziana is 29SP and the American is 33SP. 

Romana

Inspired by Rome, Romana pizzas are bigger, thinner and crispier than Classic pizzas, which also increases the SmartPoints value. 

  • For 32SP you can order: American Hot, Vegan Giardiniera 
  • For 33SP you can order: Funghi di Bosco 
  • For 34SP you can order: Barbacoa, Pollo Ad Astra 

Or, if you have a few extra SmartPoints to spend, a Pollo Forza or a Padana is 36SP, and a Diavolo is 37SP. The Romana Carbonara is 46SP - stay on Budget by sharing with a friend, or tap into your weeklies.

Calzone and Calabrese

The Calzone Verdure (peppers, aubergine, spinach and courgette) is 29SP and the Calzone 'Nduja (spicy sausage, pepperoni, peppers and chilli) is 40SP. The Calabrese - a rectangular pizza with two types of sausage, three types of cheese, pesto, salad and veggies - is 44SP.

Al Forno

Not in the mood for pizza? For 21SP, the Bolognese fits within your daily SmartPoints Budget*, while other dishes may require dipping into your weeklies or using your rollovers. The cannelloni is 24SP, the risotto con funghi is 24SP, the lasagna is 25SP and the Pollo Pesto is 34SP.

Salads

Salads come dressed and with dough sticks, and clock in at 20SP for the Niçoise (tuna, anchovies, olives and egg), 22SP for the Grand Caesar and 27SP for the Pollo (chicken, goat’s cheese, olives and croutons).  

You can ask for no dressing, dressing on the side or no dough sticks - let your SmartPoints Budget guide you. With dressing but no dough sticks, the Pollo is 9SP, Niçoise is 12SP and the Grand Chicken Caesar is 14SP. 

 

PizzaExpress desserts

 

If dessert’s the main event…

The chocolate and amaretto parfait (iced mousse on a biscuit base) sits at the lower end of the scale at 14SP. Or, if you order the chocolate fudge cake without the ice cream, that’s also 14SP.

The tiramisu is 20SP, the chocolate brownie with ice cream is 25SP and the chocolate fondant with ice cream is 42SP (order without the ice cream for 34SP).

Ice cream and sorbet

If you’d rather round off your meal with something a little lighter, the raspberry sorbet is 7SP and the coconut sorbet is 11SP. Or, ask for a Coppa Gelato - 2 scoops of your favourite ice cream flavour. Strawberry is 11SP, chocolate is 12SP, vanilla is 13SP and salted caramel is 15SP.

Dolcetti

Another reason we love PizzaExpress is their range of mini desserts called dolcetti. 

The chocolate brownie is 10SP, the caffè real (figs in a cinnamon and white wine spiced syrup with mascarpone) is 11SP, the salted caramel profiteroles are 13SP, the lotus biscoff is 14SP and the carrot cake is 15SP.

If you order these with a tea or coffee, you’ll need to track the extra SmartPoints.
