Weight loss: 2st 12lb
Was: 17st 12lb
My general way of getting on with life was to wear baggy clothes, most of my shirts were XXXL. But my wife Shirley and I were not happy with our bodies, so when the opportunity arose to take part in a weight loss feature on ITV's This Morning, we knew it was a fantastic chance to get expert help.
Super support Our Coach, Denise, is a great support - she's very experienced and is always there, texting us outside of the meeting. We've always interacted with the other members too and have been inspired by many, especially those who have had big weight losses.
Shirley and I have joined a gym, and we both tend to stick to the treadmill but armed with our Fitbits we can now monitor our activity, and it encourages us to do more. We've lived in the same house for 28 years and I'd never previously walked into town!
Shirley gets excited for me as I've lost weight, but my biggest achievement so far is fitting into slim-leg trousers. I've also had lots of compliments, which is a great confidence boost. I just wish I'd done it sooner!
