Nilly Dahlia Joins The WW Family | WW UK

We've got some exciting news...
Nilly Dahlia
joins the WW family

Lifestyle Blogger Nilly Dahlia joins WW to begin her health & wellbeing journey.

Welcome to WW, Nilly!

Nilly Dahlia is a 32 year old British Bengali Muslim mother to three small children. When she isn’t chasing her children around or hoovering crumbs, she spends her time sharing her chaotic life on YouTube and Instagram.

Nilly commented: “Being from a Bengali background and growing up in a restaurant lifestyle, the approach to food was slotted into my Dad’s routine. We ate together late as a family, our foods had high content of oil, overload of carbs and although the variation of foods we ate was absolutely incredible with the vegetables and fish from Bangladesh - it just wasn’t a healthy way of living.

It wasn’t until I became a mother, and even more so to two girls, I didn’t realise how important it was to be healthy and to change my approach to food and my lifestyle. I didn’t want my children to have body image hang ups like I did growing up, I wanted them to be much more body positive and the only way that would happen is if I was body positive about myself. Embarking on the WW journey a year ago, my approach to myself has changed ten folds. I am no longer resenting my reflection in the mirror, I am making healthier and better choices for food naturally, I am wanting to move more, I am being more mindful about how I talk to myself and I can truly see how WW is a lifestyle.”

Nilly's journey...

The WW programme will give Nilly the freedom and flexibility to enjoy the foods she loves, help shift her mindset and focus on sustaining a healthy lifestyle. She will have plenty of support on her journey, and is working with a WW Coach, attending Workshops and using the WW app to follow the programme.

Nilly says...

"The pandemic coming along had me pushing myself to the bottom of the priority list - I had to keep my family alive, healthy and well, which came at the cost of me putting on a few pandemic pounds. I am ready to focus on myself again. I am anticipatedly waiting for the gyms to reopen and get my ‘me-time’ again three to four times a week, I am tracking my steps and aiming to hit 10k everyday and with Ramadan around the corner, I am very much so excited to fit my WW blue plan into my iftar (breaking fast) and suhoor (pre-dawn) meals."
