Amy's Light in Sodium Burritos
These items are the latest addition to Amy's Light in Sodium line-up. It rules that there are good meatless, sodium-light frozen-burrito options out there, because they're so convenient. These come in both regular cheese and non-dairy "soy cheese" varieties. very cool. And there's only 290mg sodium in each. Awesome!
Each burrito has 320 - 330 calories, 8 - 9g fat, 7 - 8g fiber, and a PointsPlus™ value of 8.
Heinz No Salt Tomato Ketchup
Since ketchup is a fairly guilt-free condiment, we tend to go through a lot of it at the HG HQ, and Heinz is our favorite. This stuff is a must for salt watchers. It's only got 5mg sodium per serving; that's 185mg fewer than regular Heinz, thanks to AlsoSalt, the salt substitute it uses.
Each tablespoon has 25 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a PointsPlus value of 1.
Organic Bistro Savory Turkey
Hooray for low-sodium frozen dinners! It's a real issue; frozen meals are sometimes crazy heavy on the salt. However, this line relies on flavorful ingredients rather than salt and additives to make the meals taste good. Turkey breast with shiitake mushroom sauce, green beans, and a lentil-quinoa pilaf with only 240mg sodium. I'm impressed!
Each container has 370 calories, 10g fat, 7g fiber, and a PointsPlus value of 9.
Low Sodium V8
We like veggie juices. (Of course, eating actual veggies is best, but drinking V8 is better than having no veggies at all.) But why must they be so high in sodium? You may have noticed that regular V8 is salty, but did you know it has 420mg salt per cup? (Heads up! The company is lowering the salt amount in the original formula.) The Low Sodium version has a mere 140mg. Nice work!
Each 8-oz. serving has 50 calories, 0g fat, 2g fiber, and a PointsPlus value of 1.
NutraSalt Low Sodium Sea Salt
Have you heard about NutraSalt? It's not like Mrs. Dash-type products, which are basic spice blends with no salt at all. This is line of spice mixes made with low-sodium sea salt, which has 66% less sodium than regular salt. Including the original, the line has 15 - 118mg sodium per 1-gram serving. Plus it comes in crazy-fun flavored versions, like Spicy Cajun and Zesty Italian. Yay!
Each serving has 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a PointsPlus value of 0.
