Five spice adds incredible taste to the tender lamb pieces and crunchy veggies in this dish. Served on a bed of noodles it’s the perfect idea for when dinner needs to be served quickly.

Ingredients

Soba noodles, dry

180 g

Lamb leg steak, raw

400 g, (Buy 500g), fat trimmed, thinly sliced

Chinese five spice

1 tsp, powder

Red onion

1 medium, thinly sliced

Carrot(s)

1 medium, thinly sliced diagonally

Garlic

3 clove(s), crushed

Broccolini

300 g, halved

Snow peas

200 g

Red capsicum

1 medium, thinly sliced

Reduced salt soy sauce

2 tbs

Oil spray

2 x 3 second spray(s)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles in a saucepan of boiling salted water following packet instructions or until tender. Drain.
  2. Put lamb and five spice in a medium bowl and toss to combine. Lightly spray a wok with oil and heat on high. Stir-fry lamb, in 2 batches, for 1-2 minutes or until golden. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Lightly spray the same wok with oil and reheat on high. Stir-fry onion and carrot for 2 minutes or until golden. Add garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add broccolini, snow peas and capsicum and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes or until almost tender.
  4. Return lamb to wok with noodles and soy sauce and stir-fry until heated through.
