Wholemeal crumpets topped with cooked apple wedges, maple syrup, pecans and yoghurt make a sweet weekend breakfast idea.

Ingredients

Reduced fat oil spread

1 tsp

Apple(s)

1 medium, cut into thin wedges

Wholemeal crumpet

2 individual

99% fat-free, plain Greek yoghurt, unsweetened

2 tbs

Maple syrup

2 tsp

Pecans

4 piece(s), (2 tsp) chopped

Instructions

  1. Melt spread in a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook apple, turning occasionally, for 5 minutes or until golden and softened.
  2. Top each crumpet with apple wedges and yoghurt. Drizzle with syrup and sprinkle with nuts to serve.

Notes

TIP: You can use any type of apple or pear.
