A great way to manage your lunchtime appetite is to have Cruskits on hand - they’re only 1 Point® per 2 crackers for the rye, corn, rice and light varieties. They’re available at most local supermarkets, so pick some up and try out our ideas below with your favourite type of Cruskits for yummy, low Points meals.


Cruskits boxes Rice Rye Corn Light varieties

1. Chicken with lime, avocado and pumpkin Cruskits

2 Points per serve

Spread 1 tbs avocado over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety) and sprinkle a pinch of Mexican seasoning over the top, then layer 80g of diced, cooked pumpkin, 100g of shredded grilled skinless chicken breast and a squeeze of lime on top. Add some parsley or coriander on top if it’s to your taste.


2. Smoked salmon, cottage cheese and capers Cruskits

3 Points per serve

Spread 2 tbs of 97% fat-free cottage cheese over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety), then top with 2 x 25g slices of smoked salmon tossed with ½ tsp fresh chopped dill and sprinkled with ½ tsp capers and 1 tsp lemon zest.


3. Smashed avocado and goat’s cheese Cruskits

4 Points per serve

Use a fork to mash ¼ medium avocado in a smash bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Spread over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety), then top with 20g of crumbled, soft goat’s cheese.


4. Cottage cheese, beetroot and walnut Cruskits

3 Points per serve

Spread 2 tbs of 97% fat-free cottage cheese over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety), then top with 50g canned, sliced beetroot and sprinkle with 1 tsp of chopped walnuts.


5. Egg, lettuce and mayo Cruskits

3 Points per serve

Cool, peel and mash 2 hard-boiled eggs with 3 tsp low-fat mayonnaise. Season to taste with salt and pepper. You could even add a pinch of curry powder. Spread over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety) and top with shredded lettuce.


6. Broad bean, tuna and feta Cruskits

4 Points per serve

Layer ⅔ cup (100g) frozen broad beans, thawed and peeled, 1 x 95g can of tuna in springwater, drained, and then crumble 30g of reduced-fat feta over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety). Top with a sprinkle of dried mint and a squeeze of lemon.


7. Ham, cheese and tomato Cruskits

6 Points per serve

Spread 2 tsp of Dijon mustard over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety), then layer 6 sliced cherry tomatoes, 2 x 20g slices of light Swiss cheese, 2 x 21g slices of 97% fat-free ham and bulk it up with some sliced fresh capsicum and rocket.


8. Strawberries and cream Cruskits

7 Points per serve

Spread 2 tbs of light cream cheese over 2 Cruskits (rye, corn, rice or light variety), then top with 4 sliced strawberries and 1 tsp of honey.
