Go All In: Your science-backed start to big results
You’re ready for results, but you might be wondering, “Will this finally be the time it sticks?” We get it. That’s why we’re introducing a new way to think about weight loss from day one.
Welcome to All-In Mode, Weight Watchers’ newest science-backed approach designed to customise your weight loss by focusing on what truly drives sustainable results. This isn’t about a short-term diet; it’s about creating a lifestyle that supports your goals for the long run. So let’s get started.
So what does it mean to go all in?
It’s not about restriction. It is about building positive health habits. Instead of focusing only on the scale, you’ll learn to track the small, daily actions—like hitting a protein target or getting enough sleep - that scientifically drive long-term health and weight loss. When you go All In, your goal is consistency and progress, not perfection.
Meet your daily targets: The why behind the rings
In the app, you’ll see your progress tracked with rings. These are your daily targets for the food and lifestyle choices that help you build momentum and support your metabolic health. Here’s the science behind why each one matters.
Protein & Strength: Your muscle-protecting duo
Losing weight can sometimes mean losing valuable, metabolism-boosting muscle - and we don’t want that! Protein and strength training are a non-negotiable pair for protecting it. Protein provides the building blocks for muscle, and resistance training provides the stimulus to preserve it. That’s why our goal is to lock in a routine of 2-3 resistance training sessions per week to ensure you’re losing fat, not strength.Fibre: Your key to fullness and gut health
Fibre slows down digestion, which helps you feel full for longer and steadies your blood sugar. It also plays a vital role in supporting your gut health, which is connected to everything from mood to metabolism.Hydration: The unsung hero
As you increase your fibre intake, boosting your hydration is essential. Fibre needs water to move smoothly through your system; without it, you might feel bloated or get constipated. Think of them as a team: fibre cleans things out, and water washes them away.
Sleep & Stress management: Master your metabolic hormones
Getting consistent, high-quality sleep - with a goal of 7+ hours a night - and managing stress are critical for keeping your hormones in check. Poor sleep and high stress can elevate ghrelin (the hunger hormone) and cortisol (the stress hormone), which can increase cravings and tell your body to store more fat.
Introducing a new way to measure what matters
How do you know if you’re on the right track? To help you focus on the daily actions that drive results, we’re moving beyond the scale with the Weight Health Score (WHS).
Your WHS is a single weekly score from 0 to 100 that gives you a clear snapshot of your consistency with the daily habits that are scientifically proven to lead to better health and lasting weight loss - like hitting your nutrition targets, getting enough activity, and even sleep. For GLP-1 members, the score also incorporates your medication and weight tracking routines, giving you a complete picture of your consistency.
It’s a direct reflection of your daily actions, all rolled into one single, easy-to-understand score. Your goal isn’t a perfect score of 100 all the time. In fact, because it’s updated weekly, your WHS shows you how your habits are consistently adding up over time - one off-day isn’t going to derail your progress.
Your journey starts with a single habit
Change can feel hard, but your brain is literally built to grow. Your thoughts shape your feelings, your feelings drive your actions, and your repeated actions become your identity.
Going All In is about turning small, daily actions into significant, lasting results. You're not just starting a new diet; you’re building a stronger, healthier relationship with your body, one habit at a time. Trust the process, be kind to yourself, and get ready to not just drop the weight - but also to become the person who keeps it off for good.
