- 1/3 cup(s) dark brown sugar, packed lightly
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon, or to taste (or 1 cinnamon stick)
- 1/2 cup(s) black coffee, grounds
- 3 cup(s) fat free evaporated milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup(s) water
Bring water, sugar and cinnamon to a boil. Add coffee and turn down heat; simmer for 5 minutes.
While coffee is simmering, heat evaporated milk in microwave on low or over a very low flame; do not let it boil.
Strain coffee through a coffee filter. Add vanilla and heated milk; stir. Yields one cup per serving.
