Smoked herring has a natural affinity with sour cream and this recipe spruces up the combination with tangy capers and fresh dill.

Fat free sour cream

Herring fillet(s)

6½ oz, 2x 92g cans Brunswick® Seafood Snacks - Golden Smoked boneless herring fillets, drained and diced


1 tbsp(s), drained

Fresh dill

2 tsp(s), fresh, chopped

Dijon mustard

½ tsp(s)

Black pepper

pinch, ground


  1. Preheat oven to 400º. Coat a 12-cup mini muffin pan with cooking spray.
  2. Press wonton wrappers into the bottom and up the sides of prepared muffin pan. Bake 4 minutes, until wontons are just golden. Remove pan from oven and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, combine sour cream, herring, capers, dill, Dijon, and black pepper. Mix well. Spoon herring mixture into wontons. Bake 5 more minutes, until wontons are golden brown and filling is just golden.
