How we customise myWW for you
Curious about how WW matches you with an approach that suits your lifestyle? It starts with a science and behaviour-based personal assessment that asks a range of questions about your unique food preferences, activity level, lifestyle, and approach to weight loss. Based on your responses, we'll match you to an eating style that fits you best—Green, Blue, or Purple.
How do I take the personal assessment?
If you're a current member and just want the chance to try it out for yourself, you're welcome to take the assessment too! Keep in mind that it was created for new members so if you don't get matched with the colour you chose, remember: You are the expert in yourself. If you decide that you want to try a new colour, you can switch at any time in Settings.
Taking the assessment if you're currently a member:
- Log in to WW.com (the assessment is only available on the website)
- Click on Account in the upper right corner
- Tap Settings
- Tap Food plan
- Scroll down to “Take our new member assessment”
NOTE: The personal assessment can only be taken once, and will disappear from your account once you’ve completed it.
What research went into myWW?
The myWW program was over 2 years in the making. It's based on extensive research into what members want and need in order to be successful, along with insights and trends from around the world. We then collaborated with our Global Science team to understand where those trends overlapped with science. All three plans were tried and tested with almost 20,000 members worldwide through interviews, concept testing, pilots, and clinical trials.
Which food plan will help me lose the most weight?
All of them. No, really.
Through our extensive research and testing, we learned that members on Green, Blue, and Purple achieved equal and consistent weight loss.
No colour is better than another—they're just flexible in different ways.
Some people find a long list of ZeroPoint™ foods works best for them. Others would rather have more SmartPoints® to spend. The one that’s best is the one that gives you the most flexibility, because that's the one that will be the most liveable for you.
