Q&A with Joanne
What do you love most about the WW Program?
“It makes me feel like I’m on a wellbeing journey rather than a prescriptive diet that’s unsustainable and restrictive. Every WW program has worked slightly differently and they’ve all helped get me to where I am today, but the current program has helped me create healthy habits that I can see myself using for life.”
How has WW changed your mindset?
“There were a lot of things that contributed to my weight gain and I needed to work on my emotional and mental-health journey as well as my physical wellbeing, because being in the right mindset isn’t something that just happens overnight. Since joining WW I’ve developed some great, healthy habits that I’ve incorporated into my everyday life. I’m more active, I make better food choices and I try to stay balanced and positive.”

So, tell us how you feel these days?
“I feel like I could do anything now. I’m more active, I’m happier and I feel so content. I used to be so self-conscious of my body and how others perceived me because I was overweight. Now I’m not worried about what others think at all. I’m more concerned with my own mental and physical health and wellbeing, and how I can continue making a positive impact on my own life. It’s also been amazing to have the drive and energy to keep up with my two kids, who are both under three years old, and to keep up with my very active job as a kindergarten teacher.”
What’s your advice if someone’s trying to decide whether to join WW?
“Honestly? There’s no time like the present. In a year from now you could either still be where you are now or well on your way to becoming the best version of you. Just do it.”
