Christmas is a time of celebration, family, friends and gift giving. For many though, the reality will be very different this year. The COVID crisis is also a food crisis and the proportion of food insecure Australians seeking food relief at least once a week has more than doubled since last year, from 15% to 31%. That’s why we’re setting a target to donate 100,000 meals (that's $50,000!) to Foodbank, Australia’s largest food relief organisation.


From 7th December, for every 5 FitPoints earnt, WW will donate 1 meal to Foodbank until we reach our target of 100,000 meals.


We’ve kicked things off by donating 50,000 meals to Foodbank already. Help us reach our target by moving more and earning FitPoints! Every 5 FitPoints you earn, we will donate one meal. A 20 min run, 7000 steps or a 45min yoga session will all earn you 5 FitPoints so it won't be hard to make a difference to vulnerable Australians this Christmas. 100,000 meals will change lives and together we can reach this target. Just stay active and keep tracking your activity in the WW app. Your support is going to make all the difference to make brighter futures for those in need.

What are FitPoints?

Just like SmartPoints help you be mindful of what you're eating, FitPoints help you become aware of how active you are. You can earn FitPoints for all physical activities—from running and resistance training to "activity in disguise," like gardening or cleaning your house. No matter what activity you choose, you'll earn FitPoints for doing it!

The benefit of FitPoints - it takes into account your height, weight, age, and sex, as well as the type of exercise you're doing and the duration, to calculate a personalised amount of FitPoints for all of the activities you track.


How do you track them?

The easiest way to track all the activity you do is to sync your fitness device to your WW app.

If you don’t have a fitness device don’t stress! You can still track all the activity you do straight from the WW app. Watch this video to learn how.
