Snapfish Candy Tin
Snapfish.com is known for its unlimited storage of shareable photos and inexpensive prints. But dig a little deeper into the Web site, and you'll find tons of customizable photo projects, from albums and calendars to T-shirts and pet bowls. It took about three minutes to lightly edit a picture and place it virtually on a candy tin, and it arrived only five days later, ready to be filled with goodies. Although Snapfish offers to fill the tin with hard candies for an extra $2, why not make some of our Spiced Peanut Butter Cookies? Our Executive Food Editor loves the way these cookies' supple texture and red pepper flakes magnify the peanut butter flavor for a hands-down favorite. $17.99; Available at snapfish.com
Target Platter
Any holiday party host would love a new serving platter, especially with a gorgeous cake on top. Target's Olive Bamboo Rings serving platter would be a perfect complement to our Pear Upside-Down Cake with Pecans. This 14-inch inexpensive plastic platter is lightweight and dishwasher safe. If you really fall in love with the funky bamboo design like we did, there's a whole dining set in the same pattern!

Ball Jars
Homemade jams, jellies, preserves and chutneys are sophisticated and tasty and not as difficult to make as many kitchen novices would think. Try packaging a Peach Chutney in Ball's new Collection Elite Platinum Jars. With a contemporary shape and a platinum-style lid finish, these classic jars will look great filled with colorful spreads. If you're too timid to try the chutney, Ball suggests using No Cook Freezer Jam Fruit Pectin, with easy instructions on how to make homemade jam. All you need is 4 cups of fruit, 1 cups of sugar or sugar substitute, the fruit pectin and jars to store the finish product in. Stir all the ingredients together, and voila! The jam is ready to be frozen after sitting for 30 minutes. It doesn't get any easier on the kitchen (or your purse) than this!
Ball Collection Elite Platinum Jars; $4-$4.50; Available at Wal-Mart, Ball Simple Creations No Cook Freezer Jam; $2; Available at Wal-Mart
Martha Stewart Treat Boxes
Sometimes the best part of a present is its packaging. Martha Stewart's treat boxes may be the cutest way to celebrate the season. The Festive box set includes fancy tissue paper, ribbons and labels to decorate the 8.5" x 6" x 3" box. Half a batch of our Classic Sugar Cookies would fit perfectly! The Santa Treat Boxes are very charming, but can only fit smaller wrapped items, such as chocolate bon-bons or peppermints. For more crafts ideas, visit marthastewartcrafts.com.

Kilner storage jars are the gold standard in homemade goody packaging. We especially like the Hermetic Storage Jars from The Container Store.
