If you are looking for restaurant style thick broccoli and cheese soup, you will disappointed with the thickness and taste if you follow this recipe to the letter. As others suggested I doubled the cornstarch, added salt and pepper and used fat free half and half instead of nonfat milk. I have to admit I also increased the cheese but DH was still not impressed. I liked the taste of the soup after all the tweaks though and the thickness was fine. Now I just need to recalculate my points !
