I loved this recipe with a few tweaks. I used real garlic and pureed it with the onion, chicken broth and broccoli in the food processor. I added my cheese with fat free half and half in place of the milk. I then kicked it up with dried basil, smoked paprika and a touch of cayenne pepper. It's a keeper for me!
I had fresh broccoli, melted the cheese in double boiler and added the boullion and hot sauce. i'm new to lowfat cheese and wish some rocket scientist could make a meltable, palatable low fat cheese.
Not very cheesey. Just wasn't all that good.
The consistency of this recipe was very good. I found it a little bland using only the seasonings as directed, so I added, dried thyme, mustard (powder), salt, pepper and some hot sauce as well as half a chicken bouillon cube.
