This is one of my winter staples! I prefer sliced almonds. I also add a bit of vanilla and Splenda (or other sweetening agent).

Absolutely 4 cups of water and cook for 5 minutes or more. I like to have a weight for a finished portion;saves a gooey measuring cup. Delicious, but read the reviews or you will have a mess.
