I really loved the rich flavor of this soup, but my family and I did find it a bit too spicy (and I love spicy things!). I will certainly make this one again, but will probably cut back to 1 tsp. cumin, 1/4 tsp. coriander and 1/8 tsp. each ground red pepper and cinnamon. From there, I'd move forward with the spices in tiny increments till just right. I will say that the flavors mellowed overnight; the next day the spices were not as powerful (made a terrific lunch!).
