Lanttulaatikko Finnish Rutabaga Casserole

1/2 cup(s) heavy whipping cream
1 item(s) egg(s), beaten
1/2 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 tsp table salt
1 pinch black pepper
2 spray(s) butter flavour cooking spray
3 cup(s) cooked rutabaga(s), I small to medium rutabaga, peeled and diced into
1/2 cup Arnold Bread Crumbs, All Purpose
- Preheat oven to 350F. Dice rutabaga. Cover with water in saucepan and heat to boil. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool in water for 30 minutes. Drain well. Mash rutabaga with potato masher.
In bowl, combine cream, beaten egg, salt, nutmeg and pepper. Add bread crumbs. Fold into rutabaga.
Pour into a casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray. Spray top of casserole with more butter flavored cooking spray.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until cooked through and top is lightly browned. Cool slightly before serving.
