1/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup(s) whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup(s) fat free skim milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp table salt
1/4 cup(s) unpacked brown sugar
1/2 cup(s) unsweetened applesauce
2 large egg white(s)
2 tsp canola oil
1/4 cup(s) uncooked rolled oats, Grind until fairly fine before adding to mix.
1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Place ingredients in bowl and whisk until well blended.. Cook - flip when first side is golden brown.
1/4 cup batter per pancake
Add chopped fruit to batter if desired.
Substitutes for syrup: 1) Mash banana in small bowl and heat until warm in microwave for a yummy topping. 2) sprinkle lightly with confectioners sugar. I put the sugar in a tea infuser and just dust over the pancakes.
