We followed the recipe exactly. I agree with the previous post - the 'batter' is missing some ingredient. AND the recipe was way too salty! We had to toss as ours wasn't edible.
I think this recipe is missing an ingredient. The batter doesn't have any liquid. I added more flour (1/2 cup didn't seem like it would cover the apples) and some Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze and it turned out great.
