I actually made this for my husband & parents for a special dinner. Everyone raved about it! I made it the night before, marinated it overnight, then cooked it up that evening. Delicious!
The only thing I would disagree with is the time on the prep - just tying up the steak took me a long time, although my steak was too thick (I had flank steak so I used it). Next time I'll get skirt steak of something a lot thinner, like it recommends.
Don't know why the directions are weird, too.
