This was a great idea, and the results are very tasty . . . but I do have a couple of comments. The directions probably need to be revised; it infers that each apple will result in "6 1/4-inch" slices. That's way, way off. Each apple would probably yield about 20 1/4 slices, so that can be disregarded. I also think the apples need to be baked longer. The topping was inventive as heck, but the egg white/oatmeal mixture was too gooey and resulted in something like a big, hard pancake.
