This was GREAT! The only thing I did differently was that I baked the Angel Food Cake in a LARGE rectangulare pan (the one bigger than a 9X 13) With the help of a couple of spatulas I was able to take it out the pan whole. I then rolled that out flat (which was very easy) and proceeded with the recipe. Used Sugar Free Ice Cream and Sugar Free Hot Fudge. Delicious!
This was a total disaster! What a waste of my time and money! Pretty much impossible to "press" angel food cake pieces together, much less roll into a cake roll. My ice cream just melted, not softened. Ended up just throwing the whole thing away!
I thought it tasted very good; however, I used a low fat vanilla frozen yogurt rather than fat free and also a sugar free hot fudge sundae sauce rather than fat free. Still low on points and yet very delicious.
I would like to come up with an easier solution to the angel food cake portion of this recipe. Cutting slices and "smooshing" them together was not the easiest.
This was a huge hit at our house...very good. Will definitely make this again! A nice portion and takes care of the sweet tooth!
