Good flavor, but needed to cook longer than 8 hrs. for the stew meat I used to be tender. The new potatoes, which I quartered rather than halved, also needed more time. I omitted the prunes (I didn't like the suggested substitute of apricots, either), but there was still just enough sweetness. I halved this recipe, as it was just for me and my husband. Also, I only have a 3.5 quart cooker, which barely held half the recipe.
