It's like the Fitbit, but it calculates all of your activity and puts it into points for you. More info can be found here :

I saw on the daily thread it was opening to Boston, LA, and Chicago I think first. Then, they will roll it out to other markets.

I have it in Connecticut. I just bought it today and I installed the software, however, I don't think it's working. It's not lit up...

O sorry, the link might not work on your computer ( I use a Mac) Here is the description:
ActiveLink is an integrated activity experience consisting of a monitor, a personalized website, and tips and motivation brought to you by the experts at Weight Watchers and Philips. You wear the small ActiveLink monitor in your pocket or clipped to your clothes, and it tracks all of your activity throughout the day., Whether you’re walking the the dog or working out at the gym, ActiveLink will let you know how many activity PointsPlus values you’re earning. The personalized site creates an activity goal for you, and provides information and motivation to help you achieve your goal over a 12-week period. And when you reach one goal, it will help you set, and reach, another.
ActiveLink challenges you to move more in all aspects of your life, not just through sports or set workouts.
In order to sign up for an ActiveLink subscription, you must have a WeightWatchers eTools , Weight Watchers Online or Monthly Pass subscription. Those WeightWatchers.com subscribers who sign up for ActiveLink can sync the monitor with their accounts, and their activity PointsPlus values will be uploaded into the Plan Manager. (You’ll still be able to swap or not swap Activity PointsPlus values for food in the same way.)
If you already have a WeightWatchers.com subscription, you can sign up for ActiveLink here

There is a week long assessment period where it gathers data to determine your baseline level of activity. Once the assessment period is over, it starts calculating your activity points for you.

My only problem with it is something I read in a thread last week.
It takes a week to assess your baseline activity level, then starts calculating APs.
I'm training for a half marathon & logging 11+ miles a week, plus spin class.
Does that mean that I have to work more than that to earn any APs in the future?

I am three days past assessment - exercising - and am getting 0 points earned! My assessment showed 3 points per day, now I'm zero? Cannot find an answer on Active Link site.

I was tremendously excited about this, and purchased it as soon as I could. I am extremely disappointed. I am a swimmer, and apparently, it has almost no ability to process information from swimming. I specifically asked about swimming when I purchased the ActiveLink, and was told that there was no problem. Yesterday I did a 70 minute swim in my endless pool, usually good for about 13 points. I was credited with 1! Today I have done a 30 minute swim and an hour workout with my PT trainer. It tells me I have no activity points. At this point, I would strongly urge those of you who are swimmers to skip this gadget, because at this point, it is not able to assess swimming. I live in the Boston area, and am in a tryout location. Those of you who are waiting may be better off when they have gotten the kinks worked out.

I'm getting a little concerned ActiveLink is mishandling running,
specifically I wonder if it is double-counting. For example, this morning I ran
6 miles in 78 minutes 37 seconds. However when I downloaded AL at 0900, it
showed me with 82 minutes Moderate intensity, and 76 minutes Intense: 158
minutes total!
