How do I post a message?

To post a message on the message boards, click the “Community” tab in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page you are on and then click the “Message Boards” tab in the yellow sub-navigation bar below it. Click on board titles that appeal to you. Click on a thread title. Read the messages top to bottom.

Post a message

Click the blue "Post a Message" Button at the top or bottom of the page. Type your message and click the blue “Send” button. This will reply to the thread you are reading.

Start a new thread

Click the blue “Start a New Thread” button at the top or bottom of the page. Give your new thread a name and type your message in the box provided. When you are finished, click the blue “Send” button. Once your message is sent it cannot be deleted. We offer you the option to preview your message and edit it before it is sent. Click the “preview” link at the top right of the message box. If you are happy with your message click send. If you wish to edit it prior to sending your message you can click the “edit” link at the top right of the message box.

I want to delete a post or thread.

Once posted, you can't delete it. Click "preview" at the top right of the box to see your message and click "edit" to change anything before you hit send.

Sometimes, we may pull a thread if there's a threat to the integrity of the topic.

Why do you require email verification?

By verifying your email address, we can more effectively maintain a safe, harassment-free online environment and stay in touch with what's happening in the community. We want to ensure that our message boards and recipe swap are friendly and fun and that you feel comfortable participating in the lively exchange of tips, advice and recipes.

If you don't get an "email address confirmed" message after clicking on the link, or the link does not work, use your "cut" and "paste" functions to insert the entire link into the "Address" field of your Web browser. Cut and paste the entire line, rather than re-typing it.

WeightWatchers.com is committed to protecting your privacy. For more information, review our TRUSTe approved Privacy Policy.

There's an internet troll within the Community!

Disruptive posters are frustrating, but you can follow these four steps to keep our Community a fun and supportive environment:

Click "report a post" on the offensive post and we will review.
Once reported, IGNORE the poster. Don't respond. It's not worth your energy.
Post to threads from your friends and supporters only. Talk to who you want to talk to.
If a banned user returns and causes m ore trouble, repeat steps 1-3.

The Community team has your back!

I'd like to report a post.

Our Community is a safe place to share tips, recipes, insight, and experiences with each other. If you feel a post is violating this space, first check out our community ground rules and click "Report this post" by clicking the link next to the post. We keep all submissions anonymous to protect your privacy.

Keep in mind: reporting a post doesn't automatically result in its removal. However, we'll investigate each reported post thoroughly and take measures to protect the integrity of the Community.

Newsletter

What is the newsletter?

WeightWatchers® sends out a weekly newsletter featuring helpful and interesting articles, our latest delicious recipes, program news and offers.

How do I sign up for the newsletter?

If you'd like to start receiving our free newsletter, sign up here.

I subscribed, but am not getting my newsletter.

If you are not receiving our email newsletter, it's possible that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is either viewing it as spam or you are using an email client (or anti-spam software) that blocks unwanted emails.  Many ISPs have implemented spam protection to keep your email box from filling up with junk.

ISP’s look in the "From" field of inbound emails for many addresses. When the Spam Protector detects many addresses in the “From” field, it may place an email into a Bulk (or Junk) mail folder rather than your inbox. We are working with many ISPs to keep this from happening. In the meantime, you may wish to check your Bulk Mail folder or speak with your ISP. If you are using anti-spam software, please make sure that your settings allow our email to get through.

To ensure you receive our email newsletter, please add weightwatchers@info.weightwatchers.com to your address book or list us as a “safe sender” in your Email settings.  To double check that your email address is in our database, please visit "Communication Preferences" on WeightWatchers.ca, located in your Account Settings.  Confirm that your email address is current, then expand the "Email"  section below and review your mailing options.  If you do not have an account on WeightWatchers.ca, please enter your email address in the Keep in Touch field towards the bottom of our homepage and click the button.  You will be taken to the Email Control Center to review your options.

How do I unsubscribe from receiving email?

If you have opted in to our email newsletter from the site or by signing up for a subscriber or free registered user account and no longer wish to receive our email newsletters, access your Communication Preferences and unsubscribe. Subscribers and free registered users are required log in prior to gaining access. Enter the email address that you opted in with into the box provided and click “submit.” If you are prompted for a username and password, you are in our database and you will need your user information to continue. If you do not know your user name or password, please contact Customer Service for assistance.

After you access your Communication Preferences, we give you the option to check or uncheck the types of email newsletters you wish to receive. Uncheck the newsletter type(s) you do not want to receive or click the “uncheck all” button and click “submit.”
You will then be asked to confirm your desire to unsubscribe. To unsubscribe, click the "Unsubscribe" button. Please note it may take up to 48 hours to save your preferences

I unsubscribed but I keep getting email newsletters!

Please look at the very bottom of the e-mail newsletter that you just received. You will see a line that reads: "You are subscribed as..." followed by the email address we have on file. If the email address listed at the bottom is different, opt out using this email address. If no email address is listed at the bottom of the email, it is possible that it is not a WeightWatchers.com email. Since it can take up to 10 business days to opt you out of all our systems it is also possible that although you have opted out successfully you have received another email newsletter. If this was the case we apologize for the inconvenience. If you continue to receive emails that appear to be from WeightWatchers and feel that you have successfully opted out, please email Customer Service and we will
investigate the source.

If we contacted you by postal mail about WeightWatchers.ca products and you would like to opt out, please visit your Communication Preferences. Select the "Postal mail" category and check the box that says "Unsubscribe from all postal mail." If you continue to receive mail 10 days after you make this change, please contact Customer Service.

If you attended WeightWatchers Meetings, you may have opted to receive emails or postal mail from WeightWatchers International Inc. or a licensed affiliate. To opt out of WeightWatchers International email or postal mail, please contact WeightWatchers
Customer Service at 1-800-651-6000.

I want to change or update my email address for the newsletter

From the Profile Settings Page, go to Communication Preferences, then Email. You'll be able to update your information there.
